Nicolet
Forest Bottling Company is located 7 miles east of Mountain, Wisconsin, in
southern Oconto County, the Gateway to the Nicolet National Forest. The
original bottling facility operated by the Pritchard Family was a 2-story barn
adjacent to the artesian well. In January of 1988 a new state of the art
plant was constructed on the "high ground" where water is pumped 600
ft under protected "wet lands" to the facility. With 2 major
plant expansions in 1993 & 1998, the plant covers 22,000 square feet. In 1998, a second well was drilled adjacent to the original
well for increased demand and back-up capabilities.
The water comes to the
surface under its own "artesian pressure." The year round 52 degree water is then micron filtered to
remove any possible sediment without changing the water's
natural mineral composition.
There are 2 separate areas of the plant dedicated to filling 5
gallons and the smaller single serve "P.E.T." bottles
.
Each of these bottling lines require separate filling "clean rooms"
where filtered positive air pressure is maintained for maximum sanitary
conditions. The sanitizing, filling and storage areas are routinely
inspected by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, FDA and National
Sanitation Foundation. As members of IBWA
(International Bottled Water Association) we are subject to unannounced NSF
rigorous inspections. Nicolet Forest Bottling Company, since its
inception in 1988, has continually received IBWA's highest recognition for good
manufacturing practices and quality control procedures.
